One of Twitch's strongest strengths is promoting interactivity between the streamer and the audience.

In other words, streamers can interact with the audience through the chat feature. However, to better understand your followers and use this information to attract more subscribers, it helps to understand how to find people to follow them. You can find other interesting facts below.

Can you tell who watches your Twitch videos?

Streamers operating on Twitch can quickly and easily verify the people who are watching the broadcast. To get this information, simply click on the icon in the upper right corner of the chat section (similar to the two images).

Below you will find a list of all users who are active in this activity, along with their usernames and the categories they belong to (announcer, moderator, and staff). Also, if you want to see the total number of viewers, you can rely on the Twitch counter, which shows the number of people active in chat in red at the bottom. Therefore, useful information can be used to verify the popularity of the streaming media on the platform.

Like other tools and / or statistical information, this streaming platform also allows to know the following information:

  • New followers: the number of viewers who saw you for the first time.
  • Real-time display: the total number of people who appeared on the broadcast.

On Twitch's "Channel Analytics" page, comprehensive information about channel revenue, viewers, and engagement statistics is provided within a customizable date range; it is possible to understand the personal data of all subscribers on the platform. To do this, you need to go to the income panel and then to “How many users do I have today? This is a static report on the exact number of subscribers the Twitch channel currently has."

Below the revenue information above, you can answer the following questions to use subscriber data to define the profile of your target audience:

  • ¿Where do my visualizations come from? -Views come from various parts of the Twitch website ("followers" or "browse" pages), other channel pages on the platform, and external sources. Even with "View details", you can get data about the view from location, platform, Twitch, Twitch sources from more specific sources, and more.
  • What categories does the audience like to look at? -Allows you to see the most popular categories and games among all audiences. In this case, you will be able to take effective measures to incorporate certain games into other subsequent broadcasts.
  • What tags are users using to find my channel? -Great for gaining insight into viewers targeting Twitch channels via one or more tags. This shows the percentage of users operating this way, and sometimes you can even add the tag used to host your channel.
  • What is my most popular clip? -Highlight the most popular clips played by the channel during the selected time period and sort them by number of views. To open the "Clip" page, select "View details".

How to change the public name of Twitch

To be able to change the public name on Twitch you just have to click on the drop-down menu that you will find in Configuration. This will automatically take you to another screen and then go to the section Profile settings, where you will find different options, such as the username, public name and biography, as you can see in the following image:

If you want to change your public name, you must first change your username.- To do this, on that same page, you will have to click on Username and change it for a new one. As is logical, it must be a username that is not being used by someone else and that, if you change it, you won't be able to do it again for 60 days, so you must value it and take it into account.

On the other hand, you must keep in mind that this process you can only do it from the computer, so you can't do it through the mobile app. In any case, it will be a very simple process to carry out and if you don't have a computer, you can always access the desktop version through the browser on your mobile phone.

It is recommended that you always choose a name that is easy to remember, since through it you will be able to find the users who use Twitch when entering it in the search engine, so that if you choose one that is written in a complicated way or is difficult to remember it will not be the most beneficial.

As with the rest of platforms and social networks, it is preferable to look for an account that has a username that is as easy to remember as possible, for which it is advisable to keep it as short as possible, while being descriptive. This way it will be easier for them to remember you and find you on the streaming platform.

However, it may be that you do not stream and what you want is to simply comment on the chats of different channels or have conversations with other users, you can change it and choose the one you like without it being so easy to remember.
