For a long time, the platform has been working on trying to improve the user experience and for this reason it has incorporated new functions and a new design, which consists of more minimalist and clearer columns, in addition to a "dark mode" that was so demanded by community.

It has also incorporated video calls through which you can talk to 50 people at the same time through Messenger, and many other additional functions that have responded to the needs and demands of users.

However, there are some Facebook tricks that there are many people who still do not know what knowledge is like how to put a video as a profile picture on Facebook.

If you want to do it, you must follow some very simple steps, without having to use any third-party application or similar.

How to put a video as a profile photo on Facebook

First of all, you must go to the application or desktop version of Facebook, something that you can do from your smartphone or PC.

Once you access Facebook you must go to your Facebook profile, where you will click on your profile photo, which will give you several options, among which is Select profile photo or video, as you can see in the following image:

After clicking on the indicated option, you will have the possibility to record or take a photo or video by clicking on the camera icon (in our case, record a video), or use a video that you have previously recorded and that you have saved in your gallery. You may have previously created this video in other applications such as TikTok, Instagram or Snapchat.

Once you choose a video, Facebook will offer you the possibility of adding some filters, which will allow you to see the animated profile image in the desired way. With this small edition before uploading, such as being able to choose whether or not you want it to have sound, if you want to modify its duration, and so on.

In this way, every time someone accesses your profile they will find a moving image that is much more striking than a conventional static image.

Other tricks for Facebook

There are other little tricks that you can know about Facebook, such as the following:

Sign out of Facebook from another device

Facebook allows you to log out of the account from other devices, be it a computer, another phone or a tablet. You can keep track of users trying to access your account.

It is an alert system that tells you who has accessed your account, allowing you to know if a person has logged into your Facebook account without your permission. For this you just have to go to Setting, and then go to Security and login, to finish me go to the section Where you have logged in.

There you will find a list of all the times you or other people have logged into Facebook from desktop or mobile devices. It will also display information about the location, the device and the browser. If you want from there you can go to Exit all sessions and thus log out from anywhere, something very useful if you have forgotten to log out from a public computer or from another person.

Save any post

On more than one occasion you may have come across some news that one of your friends or people you follow has shared on Facebook but at that moment you don't have time to read it. The usual thing is that after having passed the opportunity, especially if you follow many people, you have forgotten to consult it later or you cannot find it among dozens of updates, causing you to have missed the opportunity to read the publication.

For this reason, you should know that there is the option Save post for later From Facebook. In this way, if you have any text, photo, video or link that you are interested in saving for later, you just have to click on the button with the three ellipsis that appears in each publication, in the upper right part, to later click on Save in drop-down menu.

This will automatically send that post to a folder named Saved. This folder will be generated once you save your first publication and once you have done it you will see how an icon appears with a purple ribbon with the text Saved. In the new interface you will find it on the left side of the screen (if you access it from the PC), in the drop-down menu where you can consult the list of friends, events, friends, live videos, and so on.

You just have to click on «Saved»To be able to access all your saved content, bearing in mind that you will be able to create different collections. Saved publications do not expire, although you should bear in mind that they will disappear if the person who published them decides to delete them.

Review inbox message requests

If you've been on Facebook for a while, it's probably in the folder Message requests have many unread messages that you probably didn't even know you had. This is a place to which Facebook sends all the messages of users that you do not follow or with whom you do not have a friendship on the social network.

To access this facebook inbox and check these messages you just have to go to Messenger and click on New message request, which sits at the top of the section. After clicking on it you will be able to see all the people who have spoken to you through this method as well as in groups in which you have been included and that it is very likely that you have not even found out.

A large part of the messages that you can find in this section correspond to unwanted advertising or SPAM.
